Indian Economic Growth

Indian Economic Growth India has emerged as the fastest growing major economy in the world as per the Central Statistics Organisation (CSO) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) and it is expected to be one of the top three economic powers of the world over the next 10-15 years, backed by its strong democracy and partnerships. A country seeks to achieve economic growth mainly for improving the standards of living of its people. If the rate of economic growth exceeds the rate of population growth, there is likely to be an improvement in the standard of living for the average person. Although India’s overall economy is very strong because of the huge population, the living standard is below the margin level. As per United Nations, India’s HDI ranking stands at the 131st position among 188 countries. As the majority of the population in India lives in a rural area, the overall economic growth depends on the cultivation. To uplift the Indian Economy, Union Budget for 2018-19 focused on the rural economy and strengthening of the agriculture sector, healthcare for the economically less privileged, infrastructure creation and improvement in the quality of education of the country. There are three major sources of growth, i.e., the growth of the labor force, capital formation and technological progress. India is expected to be the third largest consumer economy as its consumption may triple to US$ 4 trillion by 2025, owing to shift in consumer behaviour and expenditure pattern, according to a Boston Consulting Group (BCG) report; and is estimated to surpass USA to become the second largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP) by the year 2040, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Behavior in Organization

Real-life experiences from independent variables and the effect on dependent variables. Independent : Personality/Attitude Dependent : Productivity The personality and attitude of a person impacts its productivity. A person with an energetic personality and an positive attitude sees a challenge in every tasks and approaches them to excel in them. He/ She doesn’t get demotivated when a difficult assignment is given and instead of procrastinating, completes the tasks as soon as possible. On the other hand, a person with negative attitude and lethargic personality sees a problem in every problem and gets demotivated. This generally leads to procrastination of the task and hampers the productivity. Independent: Power & politics Dependent: Turnover, Deviant Workplace Behaviour, Organizational Citizenship Behaviour Hierarchy exists in every organisation, in fact is essential for it to work. But hierarchy brings power to those at the top and power can corrupt. This corruption, might be pity, can affect the working culture in the organization. Different groups form, which may indulge in office politics which may hamper the internal image of the organization in turn affecting the organizational citizenship behaviour. Many individuals may not get the culture they actually wanted and result in affecting the organizational citizenship behaviour. It may also result in turnover and deviant workplace behaviour. Independent: Culture Dependent: Organizational Citizenship Behaviour Culture becomes identity when you are representing an organization, state or country. Whatever happening in your internal environment shouldn’t affect your external relations as it all about you and your organizations reputation. People should learn this etiquette from Mr. Shashi Tharoor who criticizes the current issues on each and every aspect of present government but he shows his best behaviour and attitude towards policies and outputs when he is representing the nation at global stage. His quality of organizational citizenship behaviour made him to greet by his various opponents, colleagues and leaders. The most important thing which we have to consider is that the behaviour which grown up is due to what we have taught in our childhood, in our schooling, and at home. In all we can say culture of an organization grow this etiquette and make others to learn.
