legitimacy of Sonu Nigam's Concern

It was the Monday morning when Sonu Nigam, the prominent Bollywood singer tweeted his displeasure for the use of loudspeakers at religious places for prayers. And as per routine we Indians jumped in and divided the discussion on religious lines. Twitter exploded, with many came in support where as many others took offence and branded him as anti-Muslim. One of the Muslim clerics from Kolkata took this controversy to the height of stupidity and announced a reward of rupee 10 lakh for anyone who shaves the head of Sonu Nigam and garlands him with old shoes. It’s a matter of serious concern that Fatwas are becoming more common than corruption in India! Sonu Nigam, master in his field gave the most epic reply, shaved his head and asked cleric to give Rs 10 lakh to his Muslim barber. The response from cleric is still to come but hope he learned his lesson. But as the drama continued, the main issue lagged behind and hypocrisies surrounded the debate. The basic question was how logical is this to disturb someone’s morning sleep on the name of religion? Be it Azaan in mosque,   Ardas in gurudwara or Aarti in temples. We Indians are little lazy about acknowledging the impact of pollution. We kept on polluting Ganga until it became impossible to recognize and then launched a multi crore scheme to clean her. We kept on polluting the air and then suddenly blamed government for its inactiveness when Delhi chocked. But we are still to acknowledge the psychological impact of noise pollution. We claim to be Indian first but deep down our heart most of us are more of Hindus or Muslims or anything else but Indian. Most of us still respect our Geeta or Koran, more than we respect our constitution. You don’t believe me? So let me tell you what constitution has to say about the use of loud speakers.  The Division Bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice A.A. Sayed of Bombay High court on 16th of August, 2016 said, ‘Religious places could use loudspeakers only with prior permission’. The court, hearing the petitions and PILs on the rising noise pollution in the city, in its order said that Rule 5 of Noise Pollution Rule is Constitutional and state has to abide by it. The Rule says loudspeakers or public address system shall not be used except on obtaining written permission from the concerned authority.  The Rule also says that except indoors; auditoria, conference rooms, community halls and banquet halls, a loudspeaker or a public address system shall not be used at night i.e. from 10pm to 6am! The court further said non-compliance with these rules would attract an imprisonment of 5 years and a fine up to Rs. 1 lakh. Now, we witness such rules violated on daily basis and we choose to ignore it. But one day, out of utter frustration somebody pointed it out and calls it ‘dadagiri’ and we lost our cool! Seriously! Where is Sonu Nigam wrong? For pointing out something illegal? C’mon India, you can do better! Please go through the facts before getting divided on the ground of religion and play in the hand of few.

Trust

Trustno one. This seemingly beneficial virtue for a happy life can be a bit counterproductive, making issues where there didn’t need to be one. A lack of trust can lead to a multitude of issues, including the inability to maintain relationships. But if you trust too much, you leave yourself vulnerable; a target for disappointment. The concept of trust: the firm belief in reliability, truth, ability, or strength of something or someone; is a bit foreign when reclusive secrecy has become the norm. But the fact of the matter is, if we build our walls up too high, we doom ourselves to a fate full of solitude and loneliness. Trust issues can develop during any stage of life due to a variety of reasons. Trust issues are not exclusively linked to childhood experiences, they can really develop during any stage of life.2 Adolescence is another milestone for trying and developmentally altering experiences. Young teens who are bullied and teased at school or at home may develop a mistrust for their peers, as their self-esteem has been effected which in turn will play a monumental role on that individuals ability to trust. Traumatic life events during any stage of life including adulthood can seriously hinder the trust spectrum. Occurrences such as theft, illness, or loss of a loved one. This person has been disillusioned, and have to come to terms with new emotions such as loss of control, abandonment, or loss of security. On a more heinous scale, experiences such as sexual assault or rape can leave the victim stripped of the ability to trust. There is a direct connection between the existence of trust issues and mental health. Perhaps some of the most tragic trust issues are those that are generated by PTSD, due to some horrifyingly traumatic event. Many adults who have underwent war and all of the experiences that come with it, often carry those experiences with them off of the battleground. Many of these individuals feel that they did not receive the appropriate support from their government or their peers, after offering the ultimate sacrifice. That horrific experience leaves these heroes riddled with issues, trust being the main contender. Often times, the presence of trust issues are often couple with a multitude of additional issues. Be it abandonment, humiliation, or a traumatic physical experience, trust issues don’t travel alone. These additional ailments are a good indication as to what has caused the trust issues to begin with. Therapy – the most direct and effective way. This should be your first method of attack. I know, I know. Going to therapy eludes to some kind of stigma, like you’re crazy or something, or can’t handle your life. But the truth is that none of that is true. You’re just a bit damaged, and you may not even be aware as to what has caused the damage. You’re battling the after effects and you deserve a rest. Speaking to a counselor/therapist/psychologist can be incredibly beneficial, because you end up digging deep and unveiling aspects of yourself and memories that had been suppressed. This is helpful for both the individual as well as the couple, if the trust issues are within the relationship.

Exercise with empty stomach, good or bad?

Asthe amount of fitness information available is getting bigger, the chances of being exposed to bad advice are also growing, creating more fitness myths than ever. Yet, one of the most debatable myths that has been out there forever is the myth of working out on an empty stomach. It has been a prevailing thought for decades that you shouldn’t eat or drink prior to working out, and it seems that only recently the public has started questioning its accuracy. All research considered, a fed workout actually has more scientifically proven benefits to overall health, fitness, weight loss, and workout performance, as opposed to fasted training. It may seem like fasted training aids in body fat loss, but in the long run, it actually has counterproductive effects, as the body starts to store fat and burn less calories as a precaution. Additionally, the studies show far greater and longer effects on burning body fat with fed training than those of a fasted. Moreover, the decreased appetite shown in groups who performed fed training is another reason for people who want to shed some weight to enjoy a light meal before a workout in order to prevent later cravings. Finally, for reaching new higher goals in fitness and training, a fed workout is again a much more productive option, since the calories provide enough energy for extra effort.

In this world full of varied social media lustre ,one find himself/herself attracted like its a strong magnet and somehow gets influenced. It then depends on your company that decides it's good or bad.  But you know what! Whether it's good or bad, too much of social media will always end up vanishing your real world image. It's because you gradually decrease paying attention to yourself and you get so much addicted that you start skipping other important stuff like morning walks, family times and even timely food . And that I know many of you still skip.  Checking notifications, sending /receiving texts, updating status and other blahs have made our lives busier than ever, but the truth is we have a lot of time if we just kick this unnecessary identities out . Just imagine your life without Fb and Insta , now some will say, "what! Are you insane!?" Haha ,but it's okay na it's not the only thing that matters. What matters is how beautiful is your life in real world than you pretend it is in your virtual world. So guys, I think you got my point here. All I wanna say is less social media, more the real you.

Freewill or Destiny

What do you think? Are you destined to be where you are and where you will be or you have all it under your control, you can be anything and everything you want to be. Do you believe in destiny or freewill? This question has troubled great minds since the advent of mankind and till now remains answered. We humans are limited at every front. The nature has bounded us at the largest(cosmic levels) and the smallest(quantum levels). Like the flowing water, if it is bounded or restricted we can control its flow and direct it or in other words control its purpose but if the same water is uncontrolled it can have positive or negative effects but on its own accord. Similarly sometimes it feels like these boundations are limiting us so that we human race as a whole do not sway from our predestined path. Due to advacement in technologies in recent times our scientific community is been able to explore deep into interstellar space. As a result we are discovering more and more mind boggling phenomena our universe has. Also we have found numerous habitable planets with perfect atmosphere for sustaining life, but non has it. In this vast universe I don't think it is very difficult to have a solar system like ours with a planet similar to our Earth, but they don't have life even though they all the elements to sustain life. Why? Why in this vast universe(13.2 billion light years) we are alone( assuming if aliens are there they are intelligent enough to contact us and no government is hiding the truth of their existence from us). One of the bold principle supporting this fact is the anthropic principle. It states that" The theories of the universe are constrained by the necessity to allow human existence". In other words it says that the universe is the way it is soo that we can exist. Kinda wierd right. But if you look at it differently you might find that not everything is destined there is the exttence of freewill too. In you look at the history of mankind carefully you will find we have acheived what we wanted to achieve. We wanted to travel quickly, we started flying. We wanted to connected to our relatives across the state, now we are connected globally. You might relate it to Darwin's theory of evolution that in order to survive we evolved by experimenting, observing and learning but I relate it to the law of attraction one of the most fundamental theories of metaphysics, that if you desire something than the universe start working on manifesting it for you in other words our thoughts materialise. Kinad wierd too right?. It does not mean that if you want a car, will pop in front of you. What it means that if you want a car desire it enough and universe will make it happen in the ways you can understand. But if such freewill exist then why are we bounded  or those are just the pieces of the puzzles yet to be put in the right place. Are we destined to believe in freewill? If not than why are constrained.                                                                                                                                          by                                                                                                                      SHIVAM RAWAT

Fear eats you

Rightnow, you’re living your life in fear. You probably don’t even realize it, but fear is controlling you – your life, your relationships, and your decision making. Don’t worry though, you’re not alone. In fact, everyone around you is going through the same thing. You see, fear is powerful and taught to us at a young age. You learn what you should do and what shouldn’t do to avoid punishment and discomfort, that things that naturally cause fear. Now that you’ve grown up, however, fear comes from a number of different sources. And if you don’t know the source of your fear, it is nearly impossible to overcome. In fact, it makes it easy for other people and situations to control you and your actions. Maybe you have always wanted to travel the world. Now, you work as a travel agent planning other people’s trips and you think, “close enough”. Or, maybe you imagined yourself in a romantic relationship. Instead, you find yourself with somebody who is “nice enough”. Settling is a sign that you fear your dreams and desires are unattainable. You fear failing to achieve your hopes, forgetting your innate resilience to overcome failure. You Get Sick Often Due to a Lot of Unknown or Unrecognized Fear Living with a lot of unknown or unrecognized fear can cause stress-like responses in your body. One of the most common stress-induced symptoms is feeling sick1. Have you had a sudden bout of unexplained gastrointestinal problems? Gaining weight but you haven’t changed your diet and exercise routine? Maybe you’re just feeling an overall sense of tiredness, body aches, and headache? Fear is weakening the resilience of your immune system.

We don't talk anymore

How to Negotiate When the Person You're Talking to Is Stubborn Itcan be very frustrating when the person you are talking to is stubborn. It can feel like they are not willing to listen to a word that you are saying, which makes you wonder why you are even bothering to make your point in the first place. However it may be more than just stubbornness that is stopping your friend from changing their mind. According to psychologists, the more one person tries to convince someone else of something they don’t agree with, the more the other person will blindly stand their ground. 1 This might make it seem like it is impossible to change their mind, but that isn’t the case. In reality you can use useful negotiation tips to help the other person see your point of view, and this can be beneficial for both of you; it opens your minds up to new ideas and it makes it easier for you to understand each other.
