KiWhile answering this question I remembered my kota days when we used to discuss about JEE toppers. But today I found myself eligible to answer this question. So, lets start from JEE 1997 Arvind Saraf - JEE 1997 AIR -1 He studied computer science from IIT Kanpur then he went to MIT, presently he is involved in social service in India with Swasht foundation as a trustee. Abhinav kumar - IIT JEE 1998 AIR -1 He is now faculty of maths at MIT. Vineet Goel - IIT JEE 1999 AIR -1 He studied computer science from IIT Delhi and he is presently faculty at Columbia University . Nitin Gupta - IIT JEE 2000 AIR -1 He graduated from the department of CSE, IIT Kanpur and went to study biology at University of California, San Diego.He joined IIT Kanpur in 2014 as an assistant Professor in the Department of Biological sciences and Bio-engineering. Arvind Thiagarajan - IIT JEE 2001 AIR -1 He graduated from the department of CSE ,IIT Madras and then went to MIT for his PhD. He has written number of research papers in the area of mobile computing during his PhD .He interned with Yahoo and Google, with 42 patents to his credit, he founded a company in 2011 in mobile computing . In an interview he said it was a huge dilemma whether to leave IIT or not but after 5–6 months he decided to leave IIT .
