Carbon nanotubes are allotropes of carbon. They are CREATED by using different synthetic methods like chemical deposition,vapour deposition etc. They are considered, for study Purpose, to be formed by rolling 2D sheets of graphite in different configuration to get different types of carbon nanotubes. This can be represented by (n, m) notation of carbon nanotubes.(n, 0)represent zigzag CNT, (n, m) represent an armchair CNT,and any other combination represent a chiral CNT.
