Platform revolution
Platform revolution is a business where it connects people through technology and innovation .It is providing a system where exchange of services and products can be carried out with the mutual benefits of the stakeholders. It is basically platform which brings organisation together with the help of technology for the better interaction which will beneficial for all parties. Platform can multiply the profits due to network effects. I would like to take example of Uber, which has revolutionised transportation industries with providing pick up and dropping service on the platform of an application. I can relate this with the taxi industries in metro city of India where many of the taxi owners are not getting customers also customers are difficult to find best taxi option for them, causing lot of confusion in the market. Also it was found that there was no control on the fares based on constraints, if it is distant trip or trip in a heavy traffic area. All these things have been taken into consideration in Uber model. Uber has bring together all the needy customers and needy cab owners into a single platform where both the parties have mutually benefited. Uber also got competitor in India as like Ola , but Uber always came out as a best service provider with quality of drivers , regulated fares and good customer relationship. There is no doubt in saying that Uber platform has revolutionised the transportation industries.
