The link between cognitive function and sexuality
The number of people who live at home with Alzheimer's Disease (AD), a brain disease that causes abnormal changes that kill brain cells, is expected to grow from 3.2 million today to more than 8 million in 2050. Experts agree that we know very little about sexuality among people living at home with AD or other cognitive problems. Older adults who have cognitive problems that impact the way they think and make decisions may ask physicians to help managing sexual problems. And caregivers may ask physicians about sexuality in the older adults for whom they provide care. One frequently asked question is: Do older adults always have the capacity to consent to sexual activity? Researchers have previously shown that the majority of people aged 57 to 85 have a spouse or other intimate partner and, among those with a partner, most are sexually active. Having an active sexual life is linked to better physical and mental health, higher quality of life, and lower rates of loneliness. To learn more about the connection between sexuality and cognitive status, researchers designed a new study. They analyzed data from the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project to learn more about the relationship between sexual behavior, function, and cognition (people's ability to think and make decisions). Their study was published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. Based on their study, the researchers reported that: - 83 percent of men and 57 percent of women had an intimate partner. The more impaired participants' abilities to think and make decisions were, the less likely they were to have an intimate partner. - Women with lower cognitive scores were less likely than men with lower cognitive scores to have intimate partners. - Nearly half of all men with dementia were sexually active, as were 18 percent of women. - Among people with an intimate partner, the majority of men (59 percent) and women (51 percent) with dementia were sexually active. More than 40 percent of partnered men and women ages 80 to 91 living with dementia were sexually active. - More than 1 in 10 people living with a partner reported feeling threatened or frightened by a partner. This finding was similar among women and men and across different levels of cognitive problems. Experts and guidelines call on physicians to screen for elder abuse (the mistreatment of older people, which can take many forms, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, financial exploitation, and neglect), including sexual abuse, but definitions of abuse and standards of consent for sex vary widely. The researchers estimate that, among people living at home who are aged 62 and older, at least 1.8 million men and 1.4 million women with suspected or diagnosed dementia are sexually active. This number will more than double by 2050. However, rarely do these people (especially women) receive a physician's counseling about sexual changes that may occur with dementia or other medical conditions. The researchers suggested that these findings can inform improved counseling, treatment, and person-centered decision-making by physicians and other healthcare providers caring for people with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Sexual activity is an important aspect of human function throughout your lifetime, said the researchers. They added that respectful care for older adults, including people with cognitive impairments, requires an understanding of sexual norms and problems -- and effective strategies to manage sexual concerns with dignity.

Is the FIITJEE study material enough to crack the
While answering this question I remember my JEE days, I still remember my very first day at kota - I called one of my relatives and asked him that Is vibrant study material sufficient for IIT-JEE . I just called him because he has cracked IIT- JEE with a rank of around 400 from vibrant academy 2 years prior. He suggested me that just go with the study material provided by the institute,it is more than sufficient. Now, coming to my personal experience study material provided by any institute( may it be FIITJEE, VIBRANT,BANSAL,etc ) is designed to cover all the topics that are mandatory for the JEE and also to provide sufficient practice in order to make the aspirants profound in the concepts. So, you should just go with the study material and after covering all your homework(probably toughest task to accomplish) you can look up for reference material(books and all) . But my observation is that in order to practice from the different books most of the students generally skip their study material and consequently they just hold the command in very few concepts that is just not sufficient to crack IIT-JEE. So, according to me your top priority should be to finish the homework assigned by the institute and after that if you have time then go for books .

According to JEE Advanced 2017 cut off ranks for various categories to get through CSE in IIT Roorkee are as following - 1- General opening rank - 261 closing rank - 449 2- OBC opening rank - 129 closing rank - 202 3- SC opening rank - 83 closing rank - 132 4- ST opening rank -58 closing rank -98. Can I get admissions in IIT with a rank of 15k in
Getting into IITs requires a rank of around 8000 in JEE Advanced if you belong to a General category. Because as far as admissions of 2017 are concerned last rank to get into IIT was around 8000 for general category . But if you belong to reserved categories like OBC,SC,ST and PwD then you can make it to IITs with an ease. For general category candidates hopes a still alive as they can get various government colleges like NITs,IIITs and state government colleges as admissions of these institutions are independent of your JEE Advanced score, they only consider JEE mains score for admissions. To get computer science branch in old IITs that are namely IIT- KGP,IIT-ROORKEE,IIT-B,IIT-D,IIT-MADRAS,IIT-BHU,IIT-GUWAHATI,IIT-KANPUR you need to get a rank of somewhat under 1000 in JEE ADVANCED if you belong to the general category and if you belong to reserved categories like OBC,SC,ST you can get CSE even beyond this rank . How is Physic’s teaching in Vibrant Academy Kota i
P1 and P2 are the topmost batches of Micro coarse in Vibrant Academy, it consists of students with the highest percentage of marks in review tests .Both the HODs teaches in these batches I mean one in P1 and other in P2 . The two HODs are namely NITIN JAIN sir(NINJA SIR) and NEEL KAMAL SETHIA sir(NKS sir) they are amongst the best faculties for physics in India . They teach in an exceptional way they don’t provide much notes I mean you won’t believe that NINJA sir used to complete the chapter like newton laws of motion in just 1 page.Now, you will think with this much concise notes how can one master their concepts, the answer is practice they emphasize on practice they give lots of numericals for homework and in order to complete the homework students get their concepts brushed through various books and notes .The HODs avoid spoonfeeding they give homework and discuss the doubts in the next lecture. Yes, HODs do teach in droppers batch. There are four houses in dropper coarse V,X,Y,W . V house consist of students who have completed their 12th from Vibrant Academy and X house consists of students who have completed their 12th from various other coaching institutes. While Y and W mostly consist of students who are preparing for the very first time for the JEE . HODs teach in batches like V1 and X1. I shared above information on the grounds of my experience . How is the G3 batch in Vibrant Academy in Kota?
Well according to me batch doesn’t matter if you work hard continuously, batch totally depends on your performance in review tests and not on your intelligence and hard work . In Vibrant Academy there are four houses for Micro courses namely E,N,G,R and each of the houses consists of 5 batches and you are talking about the batch G3 it is an average batch students used to say that in order to get selection you need to be in the top batches like G1,E1,R1,N1 but it is not at all true there are examples where students started from batches like G3 and later they performed well and entered into higher batches and got a very good selection. My personal opinion is that you should never settle yourself for less,if you are in G3 batch try to study more hard, try to identify your mistakes and weaknesses and try to notch higher batches it will eventually boost your self confidence and also you will be surrounded with some good students as advantage of being in a higher batch is that you are surrounded by some brilliant minds.
