I have 10 days for the JEE Advanced. What should I

Now only 10 days left for JEE advanced revise the concepts you learned, practice important questions if you have marked prior, practice previous years JEE advanced papers. For mathematics practice on topics like vectors, 3d,calculus, conic because these have a decent weightage in JEE advanced paper. For chemistry do have through revision especially salt analysis, for Physics focus on modern physics, electrostatics, electrodynamics, magnetism,EMI ,AC , rotation, thermodynamics . And also analyze the weightage of topics from recent jee advanced exams , also you should join some test series of reputed institutes but please don't go for any sort of crash course .

What can be my strategy to score 230+ in JEE 201

In order to get 230+ in JEE 2019 you should focus on chemistry because it is least time consuming and scoring as well, if you have a strong command on each and every topic of chemistry you can even score 100 around marks in chemistry only and to achieve a good command you should go through ncert thoroughly and practice from books like Narendra Awasthi (for physical chemistry) and MS Chouhan( for organic chemistry). Now despite of chemistry for mathematics and physics you should practice 38 years solved IIT papers thoroughly, as jee mains is all about speed and accuracy. And now if you have time you can go with books like DC Pandey for physics. I hope my opinion will be helpful for you .

How can I crack the JEE Advanced 2019 as a dropper

In order to crack JEE advanced 2019 as a dropper you have to make your basics very clear in a very short span of time and you have to practice selected material that can strengthen your concepts, make you aware with the current pattern, enhance your speed and build your confidence. According to me you should go study material of various institutes namely - vibrant, resonance, bansal, allen because the material is concise and it can be completed within a year, but if you want to prefer book continue reading According to me for mathematics 1 . Advanced problems in mathematics(vikas gupta, pankaj joshi) 2.previous year IIT JEE questions 3. cengage is also good. For physics 1 . HC verma,DC pandey For chemistry for inorganic go with ncert, for physical-(advanced problems in physical chemistry) Narendra awasthi for organic -(advanced problems in organic chemistry) M S chouhan

How can I prepare for JEE last 2 months?

Yes obviously u can prepare for JEE in 2 months all u need is perseverance, hard work, patience and will power. If your basics are little clear, just focus on ncert for chemistry . A day consist of 24 hours 5 hours for sleep and 2 hours for all sort of odd jobs then you are left with 17 hours, out of this 17 hours devote 6–6 hours for physics and maths and 5 hours for chemistry. By devoting this much time u can atleast fetch a fighting score .

How do I get 200 plus marks in the JEE Main 2018?

To score above 200 in jee mains 2018 you should focus on chemistry as it is very much scoring and consumes less time if you get a good command on chemistry you can score even 100 marks in chemistry. And for mathematics go through each and every topic and give a good attention on calculus,co ordinate geometry, vectors. And for physics as far as previous year papers are concerned level was pretty tough despite of paper of 2018 so don't much rely on physics .

How many questions per day and per subject should

I qualified jee advanced but the rank was not that much good but as being a alumni of vibrant academy I can say 50 quality questions a day for mathematics and physics can make your preparation apart off, and as far as chemistry is concerned focus on topics and practice widely on completion of topics but there is no fixed road map to achieve a good rank but I think so this can help you out in a better way .

Why not me?

Curious about me? Welcome to the mystery world. Shubham Kumar Sharma… or simply Shubham is a dropper and currently preparing for the engineering entrance exam 2018 and hope to get into one of the elite institutes of India. He is an ambivert! And you will not find anyone as crazy as him if you get in touch and be true friends! He is a hard core Harry Potter lover, or as you may call “A Potterhead” He loves to read. Some of the favourites are Harry potter series, The Alchemist, The girl on the train, Mind reader, Eleven minutes and The power of your subconscious mind. Quora is the best addiction that he is happy for having. Oh! did i told you he is an Artist too! Hope you liked my work. There is a lot more about me that you could come across if you stay with me…Like, I bath daily (YES i do!) and that too more than once a day sometimes. I like Paneer tikka and Chicken tikka more than anything. I spend a lot of time doing crazy stuff and sometimes it becomes difficult to do what I should do at that time. But I am improving and hope I’ll be a better version of myself after each passing day! Keep smiling! There is a lot more to discover in life. Thanks for stopping by.

What is the worst thing about education in India?

The worst thing about Indian education system is: 1. Education 2. System I was in 9th or 10th standard when this incident happened. Biology Chapter 3: Human Reproductive System Topic: Reproductive Health Teacher asks a random student to read the paragraph and then she will explain that paragraph. “…………such methods are available for both males and females. Condoms (figure 4.1) are barriers made of thin rubber/latex that are used to cover the penis in males or vagina in females, just before coitus so that the ejaculated semen would not……….” Teacher suddenly started feeling uncomfortable, some students started giggling and gesturing weirdly, some students are thinking what the hell is happening, why the environment changed suddenly and some have no idea about anything and busy in talking. Teachers leaves the class for a while and when she’s back, she says this paragraph is not that important with respect to exams and we should not give importance to that topic, we will get marks only if we study the topic from which questions will be made for the exam! No one cares for our education, but marks. Specially sex education! I personally feel that students should be taught proper sex education right from class 9th or 10th (totally my views). It’s far better to learn from the right source rather than from internet (*wink*). One more incident, I would like to tell you. This time it’s Maths. Maths Class Test (I don’t remember the topic) Answer sheets are just given back to students to check if there are any mistakes. Me: Excuse me ma’am, I have got the correct answer but you have marked it wrong Teacher: The correct ratio of x:y is 4:1 and not 2:1 Me: But ma'am, everyone got this answer only i.e. 2:1 Teacher: No, if you want marks then write what is written here in the answer key, that’s the rule. Me: But ma'am, you have given marks to this boy even though his answer is 2:1. He just squared both sides or did some more useless steps to make it 4:1 as he remembered this question. Teacher: Whatever he did is not my problem, his answer is 4:1 he will get marks. “Beta, your argument is valid, said no Indian teacher ever” No one gives a damn about what students are learning. Everyone cares about marks and only marks. Due to this mind set, “Sharma ji ka beta” concept has evolved to such an extent that every student is scared of trying and learning what they are interested in and rather everyone is just mugging upto get marks so that he could beat sharma ji ka beta in a hypothetical race. There are many more experiences which clearly show that getting good marks should be the only aim of an ideal student, no matter how he/she studies. I have seen many times my younger sister copying answers from the internet and just copying-pasting it to her notebook. She says teacher will not give marks if their notebooks are not up to date so she is copying to make it quick. Instead of this they could have given homework to students to read about a topic and the’ll have a quiz based on it and the one who wins gets a chocolate. This sparks an interest in the child to study! But no, we are Indians and we care about bloody marks.

Could you show us some of your art?

I love drawing and sketching, but as almost every Indian teenager, I left my passion of art to prepare for the prestigious IIT-JEE. The exam time is over now, results are out and college has been finalized already. I started pursuing my passion again after a long 3 year gap. I do some different art known as “Negative Drawing” or “invert sketching”. Basically what it means is, I draw with black pen and pencil (yes both) on a white sheet of paper and then click a picture of it. After that, I apply the “Negative filter” or “invert colour filter” on it (present in most photo editors now a days). So, here are some of my recent works. First of all, Batman. I think it's not that recognizable but she is Jennifer Lawrence. I challenge you to guess who this lady is! Answer is in the end, do not dare to cheat. Actually I saw someone making these kind of sketches on Instagram so I thought I should also give it a try. I Googled negative art sketches and found some awesome drawings and I drew the same with some variations. The time lapse video of my sketches are available at youtube: Pencil Sketching ||mysterious lady|| (inverted sketching) by Shubham Kumar Negative Drawing by Shubham Kumar Also you can check out my Instagram profile for the time lapse video and other sketches. Shubham Kumar (@shubham_shawarma) • Instagram photos and videos I hope you liked my work. I will make a lot of sketches in the holidays I've got before the college starts and will update this answer as I make new ones, so stay tuned. P.S. That lady in the last sketch was none other than The Nun (Valak) when she was in her twenties. Kidding xD she is just an imagination nothing else.

How was the JEE (Advanced) 2018 examination?

This year Jee Advanced proved again that no matter how much you analize previous year papers and try to predict the upcoming ones depending on which IIT is organizing it, you'll always get punched in the face. I reached the center in time, done with all the formalities and got the assigned computer still having an hour left. After half an hour invigilators distributed a blue paper containing this year's pattern for paper 1 which was an absolute nightmare! Section 1 6 more than one correct questions with partial marking and a negative marking of 2. (as usual) Section 2 8 numerical value type questions where answer should be truncated to 2 decimal places ranging from negative infinity to positive infinity. (you're kidding right? I wish I could) Marking was +3 with no negative marking. Section 3 2 paragraph type questions having 2 questions each having only one option correct giving you 3 marks for correct and minus 1 for incorrect answer. The thing which turned my face blue and green was section 2. Unlike previous years where integer type questions have answers from 0 to 9, this time it was definitely much more difficult to get the correct answer and that too upto 2 decimal places. I got into some deadly calculations like sqrt[ln(3)] and how am I supposed to do that accurately? Well obviously I approximated everything and marked a numerical value which I was not sure about. Some of my friends got perfect integer answers like 5 but they had to mark it like 5.00 otherwise it will be counted as incorrect. I don't think this pattern made any sense, they could have done it like double digit answer or triple digit answer but introducing decimal is something really absurd. Let's move on to paper 2 now. Section 1 6 more than one correct questions with partial marking and a negative marking of 2. (again this one is common) Section 2 8 numerical value type questions where answer should be truncated to 2 decimal places ranging from negative infinity to positive infinity. (Oh god! Not again) Marking was same. Section 3 4 Matching type questions with 4 options having only one of them correct. +3 for correct and a -1 for incorrect answer. (as usual) Now after reading section 2, my face turned pale white, Like a moon in the winter night. I was just trying to digest the fact that this time out of 108 questions, 48 questions are of numerical value type and that too the answer could be anything upto 2 decimals, and I got another shock that it's only 18 minutes left for exam to begin and I have not completed registration for paper 2. I rushed to the registration counter and got everything done within 5 minutes and got back to my system. Now, paper 1 was very much balanced. Physics was easy to moderate level, chemistry was moderate to tough level and maths was moderate level. But in paper 2, chemistry was tough. Organic chemistry literally screwed me up and I was wondering if I did a right thing to drop an year to face this kind of advanced paper. Apart from chemistry, maths and physics was moderate level but some questions of maths were really challenging. Overall, I think many students have messed it up in section 2 and due to its high weightage this year, cut off may go unexpectedly low (totally my opinion). But let's just not dig into the predictions of cut off because again, you'll be punched right in the face. That was my view on Jee Advanced 2018, feel free to share your experiences in the comment section, I'll be glad to hear, about your's my dear! EDIT 1- Cheer up friends! Jee advanced has officially declared some information regarding the most controversial numerical value type questions, have a look here. So, all my friends who were worried about the decimal issue over some intrger questions, now may seem relieved! Finally, they took a very reasonable decision to consider 7, 7.0 and 7.00 all as correct and also provided a small range upto which the answer will be considered correct. So now, you only need to worry if you got the correct answer and everything else will be taken care of by them. Image source- https://www.jeeadv.ac.in

Which movie(s) made you cry?

There are many movies ( like lagaan, piku, chakde india, airlift etc…) which made me very emotional. But the movie that left me literally crying was… Bajrangi Bhaijaan. I am not a die hard fan of salman though, but in this particular movie… i realized, i was seriously crying with joy and emotions and tears were falling down through my face! I would not write whole story with every detail… but ya, just a summary with a bit less details is here. In this movie, a small cute girl named shahida comes to india with her mother from pakistan for her treatment. (Shahida was mute) but while going back to pakistan, shahida was left behind in india all alone… She cried but no one heard. Shahida met pavan kumar chaturvedi (salman khan) somehow and he was very kind to her. He gave her food and tried to leave. But after knowing that she is mute and alone… he took her and went to his residence. He named her “munni”, as she couldn't speak her name. Then he came to know she is muslim and pakistani. He decided he would go to pakistan and make sure munni reaches her home. He goes to pakistan… without passport… via indo-pak border… illegally. There he faced a lot of problems and beatings by police… he met nawazuddin siddique who was a news reporter. He helped him in finding munni’s family. {the background music along with the scene made this so emotional and happy that a girl separated from her mom meets her back after so long… god, i was about to cry} Finally shahida was with her family, due to the efforts of nawaz and pavan kumar. nawaz already posted some videos about how this guy helped a pakistani girl come back to india and he struggled so much…to make each and every person of pakistan and india a supporter of pawan. Now pavan was in jail and people were in a strike to release pavan… they all supported pavan to get back to india via that border only.he was successful. Then here came munni to see him off. But as she couldn't speak, pavan didnt know munni is here. She kept on trying to shout… and finally a voice came…”maaamaaaa…. maamaaaa… “ pavan heard that and ran back to her to hug her. This scene literally made me cry. now the background music with “tu jo mila” and the people cheering for bajrangi bhaijaan… the epicness of the scene, and overall the emotions made me cry! i was crying for the first time in a movie theater… oh even now its making me emotional to recall that memory! at the end… it was a mixed emotion overall! I was Crying, i was happy, i was smiling, i was trying not to cry, i was wiping my tears, i was setting my hairs, i was trying to stay calm but…. this scene is too damn emotional. So, wiping off my tears again…. hope you guys liked it and also felt the same as me. sorry for grammatical mistakes… Thanks for reading!

What made you happy today?

A random stranger made me happy today. Today was my NIFT round 1 exam. The exam timings were 10am–1pm and 2pm-4pm (two papers were there CAT and GAT). My alarm woke me up at 5:30 am. I was feeling too cozy and lazy to come out. And thought my dad (who was out of town with my whole family, i was alone in house) would surely wake me (by continous calling) up at correct time even if i slept once again! So i turned off alarm and slept… guess what, dad was also sleeping till i woke up suddenly due to a dream. I checked the time and it was 8:40 am… OMFG!… i have to be at exam center before 9:45am so i just did my daily activies very fast, and heated up milk, ate some bread slices with milk and rushed to get an autorickshaw. Somehow i managed to reach the center at 9:40 am but suddenly i realised that, i forgot everything. I didnt have my pencil, my colours, pad, nothing… i was tensed and i was alone. There came a lady with shiny golden hairs and wide smile. She asked me to fill up some information about myself in a form she gave (some NIFT coaching may be). I thought that i am gone now… i cant do anything about my colors and pencil and there was neither any shops nearby… so i decided to give her my time and provide some of details (like name, email, ph. No. Etc.) As soon as i finished and gave the form back to her, there She gave me a set of complementary oil pastels and a pencil! I was like damn… that’s what i wanted thank you soo sooooo much… she was beautiful and i was feeling like hugging her out of happiness… i was so happy, i told her all the story and she was happy to help me! We also met in the break between 1st and 2nd paper…(i was surprised that she was still there) and talked about my exam. We had a great conversation! This made me smile today! Truly a memorable day… exam was awesome by the way! Thanks for reading (^_^)
