Brick

Well civil engineering is an important field in engineering respects and here's a basic pdf on one component of it that is the brick. Brick is studied in detail with various compositions and materials used in its construction process which are required in adequate proportion.

Maruti Suzuki cars to get six-speed gearbox

Maruti Suzuki is in the process of a complete overhaul of its image in Indiafrom being a budget family car to a high end beast model. The company has already had a change in reputation inclining towards becoming a premium brand. The introduction of cars like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and dealership concepts like Nexa and Maruti Suzuki Arena has made their image transformation easier. It will also improve performance & fuel efficiency. Missing Piece : All of the Maruti Suzuki cars sold in India come with a five-speed transmission. The one thing that was missing from Maruti Suzuki cars was a six-speed gearbox. Preliminary reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki has confirmed six-speed gearboxes for its cars rolling out this year. Change : Any car from Maruti Suzuki Alto to Ciaz, is currently sold with a five-speed gearbox, but a six-speed unit is coming soon. It has been codenamed MF30 and will improve the performance of the cars. “Maruti is looking to shore up the use of six-speed transmissions in a gradual way. Starting with 50,000 units in the first year the demand is projected to go to 400,000 units per year by 2020”, an industry source told Money Control. The first Maruti Suzuki car to get a six-speed gearbox is expected to be the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback. An additional gear will enhance fuel efficiency and power delivery as well. This is, however, not the first time a Maruti Suzuki car will have a six-speed gearbox. The previous generation Maruti Suzuki S-Cross came with a 1.6-litre diesel engine paired with a six-speed unit. The new S-Cross comes with a 1.3-litre diesel engine paired with a five-speed gearbox. Competition : Another reason for Maruti to consider this move is that competition cars like Hyundai Elite i20, Tata Nexon and many others are available with a six-speed transmission. Building stones

Moving on to another part of civil engineering or we can say construction work is the building stones from stone age its been in effective use and is found quite handy in various applications. But here in this pdf the importance of it and the various type of compositions used for making different varieties in it have been discussed.

BMW Reveals Second Generation X4 SUV

The big news coming out is that the BMW has revealed the second generation X4 SUV online. This has come ahead of the car’s scheduled global debut at 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. The luxury SUV is positioned between X3 and X5. It is expected to launch in India sometime in late 2018 or in early 2019. Its arrival will be a challenge to the Range Rover Evoque here. While the first generation X4 was launched in global market, it was not available in India, but the Bavarian auto giant believes with the new model it will be able to draw attention of buyers in domestic market. Specifications : The demands for luxury cars in India are increasing fast and BMW has done its homework right to cover this aspect. BMW has good reason to be confident about the possible success of new X4. The car is underpinned by the same CLAR platform that hosts the new 7-Series and X3 as well. Thanks to the CLAR platform, second-gen BMW X4 comes around 50 kg lighter than its predecessor. This has helped the luxury SUV in achieving improved driving dynamics and better handling. Thanks to 81 mm of extra length, 37 mm of width and 54 mm of extra wheelbase, new BMW X4 offers more space and comfort to the occupants. In terms of design, it gets the automaker’s signature kidney grille with vertical slats, LED corona ring headlamps, integrated LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, LED taillights along with muscular bumpers at both front and rear ends. Apart from that, it also gets large alloy wheels, sharp character lines and a coupe-like roofline. Inside the cabin it has an all-black theme with red contrast stitching adds zing to the SUV. Similar features as the third generation X3. There is BMW’s iDrive infotainment system with voice and gesture control. High-end trims get paddle shifter with steering wheel. It gets M Sport suspension as standard, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist systems. On the powertrain front, 2018 BMW X4 gets two petrol engines and two diesel motors as well. Transmission duty will be done by an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all the four wheels via BMW’s xDrive system. Overall : Released just four years after the original X4 first hit dealer forecourts, the new model will take advantage of the new X3’s underpinnings. The SUV coupe styling – dubbed sports activity coupe by the German firm – gets a sportier look than its sister car, plenty of BMW’s latest technology, and a couple of M-badged trims. BMW says it has sold 200,000 X4s since introducing the model in 2014, and it will be hoping that number increases dramatically with the introduction of this new version. Thus we all are awaiting eagerly for the launch and since with advances in its style and excess power it will certainly be a power packed model to rule its market segment.

Toyota Yaris May Not Get Diesel Option

Finally we have a Toyota that can take the fight to the Honda City and the Hyundai Verna. It is not so surprising that sedan buyers are already adding it to their shortlists. However, if you happen to be waiting for a diesel-engined Yaris then you are in for a dismay as it may not happen at all. The Yaris was unveiled at Auto Expo 2018 with a 1.5-litre, 108hp, four-cylinder petrol engine. During this launch, Toyota officials chose to stay tight-lipped on the prospect of there being a diesel Yaris in the future as they face the situation of launching new products before the new BS-VI emission norms kick in. The Yaris will be offered with the option of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed (step) CVT, and will also feature some segment-firsts, such as a powered driver's seat and front parking sensors, among others. Toyota's City fighter is expected to be priced between Rs 8.4 - 13.5 lakh when it is launched in the month of May.   Problem : As of now, the only small-capacity diesel Toyota offers in India is the 1.4-litre unit that does duty in the Etios twins and in the Corolla. The 1.4 isn't BS-VI-compliant, and may even be dropped from the Etios and Corolla ranges come 2020. While it is still studying the situation, Toyota is uncertain about developing a new, BS-VI-compliant engine as it would entail significant investment and drive the diesel variant's price to a point where it'd become uncompetitive. Toyota maintains that customers in the segment are, increasingly moving for petrol models over diesel models, and the overall share of the diesel variant in total sales may be far too small to justify the additional investment. It is more likely that Toyota may opt to introduce a hybrid version of the Yaris. But even that will likely be some time away.
